American TeleCare is a provider of a home telemedicine program never before used in the health care industry. They have developed a program that was new to the health care industry. Having little capital and an unproven product, American TeleCare needed to get working units into the field without a lot of expense. The engineers turned to The Ralph S. Alberts Co. for suggestions. With some minor design changes, Alberts was able to produce 4 housing units using a high impact polystyrene. The parts are then painted and silkscreened. As is the hope of any new design, the product was a success. The Alberts Co. has produced over 1000 parts from epoxy injection molds, and parts are still being produced to date.
