R.S. Alberts was contacted by an OEM
company about a new roller coaster that had an interesting
new concept. They had done business in the past with us
but wanted to learn more about our capabilities and processes.
After a short teleconference explaining all our different
capabilities and basic requirements concerning tooling,
the decision was made to select us as the manufacturer of
their flexible foam and urethane products for this project.
The customer built some of the tooling using technical information
provided by R.S. Alberts. The balance of the tooling was
built by out shop. Once tooling was completed, the foam
products were produced using an EPA approved foam in conjunction
with our Ride Hyde X3™ process. The remaining parts
were manufactured with a rapid cast urethane. R.S. Alberts
supplied 1st articles for approval for fit, finish and feel
of the required parts. The color matches for the flexible
products were done in-house in our paint shop. Final approval
was made and production schedules were set to meet required
delivery dates.
