Using different molding processes, RS Alberts
can guide you in the right direction with your prototyping and new
product development. Over the last 30 years, RS Alberts has refined
and streamlined these processes to create molded parts quickly and
accurately. Whether your project requires 1 or 1,000 parts, RS Alberts
will match their processes to fit your needs. RS Alberts can handle
your project from start to finish and help you get your product
to market quickly and cost-effectively.
RS Alberts offers the single-most used process in rapid prototyping:
RTV/Urethane tool molding. We have been producing cast silicone
and urethane parts with this process for the past 30 years. This
process provides the most cost-effective mold for producing a small
number of parts. RTV/Urethane tooling is used only when the requirements
for the finished product fall within the boundaries of urethane
specifications
Liquid Resin Casting is another process in which RS Alberts specializes.
Capable of producing up to 50 parts per day per mold, LRC uses specialty
urethane that is suited for part designs with thick wall sections.
A tool produced for LRC can cost more when compared to RTV/urethane
tooling, but the part pricing drops significantly and is thus more
cost effective for higher volume production.
RS Alberts was one of the first companies to successfully use epoxy
tooling for injection molding. 25 years later, RS Alberts continues
to be at the forefront of this industry and has expanded into high
speed machined aluminum injection molds. If your project requires
a thermoplastic material, our injection molding process can mold
any thermoplastic material.
