In response to our amusement customers’
needs for more durable water ride seating, R.S. Alberts
Co., Inc. developed a Roto Cast seating combination.
This process, RotoCasting, provides a strong, seamless urethane
shell that is waterproof. With so many standard foam
parts becoming waterlogged in a wet environment, we can
now provide a definitive solution. The RotoCast parts
provide a shallow depression, which allows for the easy
insertion and replacement of an inexpensive foam pad.
This feature will simplify maintenance in the upkeep of
the new seats and allow parks to change colors or insert
logos as desired.
It is estimated that these parts will have three to four
times the life expectancy of a traditional foam part and
will be 40% lighter. The RotoCast part can be used
as an aftermarket replacement for many applications, such
as rapids ride boat seats and backs incorporating steel
frames. RotoCasting is also an ideal candidate for
industrial applications. Hollow parts can be made
for a variety of needs such as fluid containers, housings,
bumpers, prosthetics, ECT.
