Six Flags contacted us to discuss
safety issues with their rides. They wanted to add additional
padding to several areas on the trains. R.S. Alberts sent
a representative to the park to review and consult on some
design ideas. Our staff member made some preliminary sketches
and park employees made two mock-up parts for the needed
padding. Back at the plant, RS Alberts then constructed
patterns from the sketches and mock-up parts. Patterns were
approved and mold construction was done at our facility.
The finished foam products were produced using an EPA approved
foam in conjunction with our Trademark Ride Hyde X3 and
Flexible Urethane Foam processes. R.S. Alberts supplied
all fiberglass, aluminum and ABS inserts for the foaming
process. Color matches were done in-house. Within 3 weeks
we supplied 1st articles to Six Flags for approval for fit,
finish and feel of the required parts. Final approval was
made, and production schedules were set to meet required
delivery dates.
